Accessibility - An Opportunity for Small Businesses

In support of Small Business Week 2025, we are hosting a pivotal panel discussion aimed at raising awareness of the critical role that accessibility plays in the growth and success of small businesses, especially in the digital age. Through this event, we aim to educate business owners about how creating accessible physical spaces, websites, and digital products can increase customer engagement, enhance brand loyalty, and create opportunities for a larger, untapped market.

1 in 4 individuals in the U.S. have a Disability (28.7%) and they represent $13 Trillion dollars of annual disposable income when including friends and family.

Despite these staggering numbers, a 2020 report by WebAIM revealed that 98.1% of homepages are inaccessible to people with disabilities. This highlights a significant gap in digital inclusivity and underscores the urgent need for organizations to address accessibility barriers.
